All 3 of their midfielders are superb both these matches. Well balanced and in sync. People thought Verratti would be a big miss, might even be hard for him to come back.

Still have Sensi, Cristante, Castrovilli and Pellegrini to come in. Embarrassment of riches.

I was worried when we are signing him after watching him last euros, he played exactly like this but almost everyone here liked his performances back then. So slow and unagile.

Credit to Mancini by the way, these guys look like they've been teammates forever. Not often you see a national team play like this, even with class players it's usually much less fluid.

I remember thinking the exact same thing haha. I figured he'd look better with better teammates though.

Wenger probably had buyer's remorse too, I remember he barely played Xhaka for the first half of the season. Makes it very difficult to understand why he didn't upgrade him quickly.
