I thought Mbappe should have gotten a penalty yesterday when he embarrassed Hummels for that sprint. Other couple of dodgy decisions in some games but now that you mention it the overall refereeing level is literally leagues better. I think some sort of undercover journalist needs to infiltrate PGMOL and expose their bullshit for something to happen in England, your football people make Germany's look downright progressive.

Yeah, I really like Wenger's suggestion on offsides PRECISELY for moments like this. Too often the flames get doused with cold water by such tiny margins like that that clearly do not give the attacker any real advantage.

Although it is definitely clear how much more competent all the refs and VAR team are in this tournament compared to the absolute losers who still have jobs in England

I like that play is allowed to go on. It works both ways. A few legitimate goals have been possible when a linesman would have otherwise raised the flag.

That Finland disallowed goal is sad though. If Wenger's recommendation is followed it would be allowed as a large part of his body is onside. It's hard to score goals anyways in general. It just gives a bit of advantage to am attacker.

I wouldn't mind that change but I also don't mind the way it is now as long as it's done consistently. You'll have 'sad' cases where someone is just half a cm offside regardless of how you interpret the offside rule.

That pen decision was bad. Reffing gas been decent but that ref was poor. Tried to physically force Rabiot to keep playing when he was down injured too.
