Was at Wembley again - two days in a row! I think my life as a football fan peaked.
The final should be good. Italy are technically superior
I get that the media coverage is annoying if you have to follow English media for the coverage but at this stage it's to be expected. The Italian media are hardly any better, they called Belgium v Italy the 'real' final weeks ago.
Haha same I was at both semis as well. Spain v Italy was a great technical game that I thought Spain edged but fair play Italy. Great to see a penalty shoot out in person but glad I was neutral. The England game brilliant for other reasons.
Will be an interesting final for sure. Italy best team we've faced and more generally in the tournament for me. Will be very tough to beat but it's good we are in the final getting their as much as you can is the way you ensure you increase the odds of winning one.
Agree about the media I don't really like and how they go about stuff but none agree any good be i Spanish, Italian or German.
I've not necessarily been fully convinced on Southgate bit ultimately he's managed to get the team to a world cup semi and first ever European final so can't really fault him.
I think the current England team on the whole are very likeable in a way we haven't had for a while I also think Southgate has been a really good role model generally in how he's approached the whole thing creating an environment to allow players to stand up for things they believe even when they've copped flak. All in all more positivity around everything then we've had for a long time and it's not like England are always in these scenarios so I think it's naturally people get excited for it and want us to do it.
Fans of most other big football nations been able to rely to on getting into the business ends of tournament's pretty regularly so the way England are desperate to get there perhaps looks more alien but I don't think it's complacency it's desperation.
