Was at Wembley again - two days in a row! I think my life as a football fan peaked.
The final should be good. Italy are technically superior with far more experience. On the other hand, England have better depth off the bench in attacking areas and physically superior. I know this forum is on the fence about Southgate, and he's not someone who you'd want at Arsenal, but I think he's done an extraordinary job as a man manager. He's dealt with the media, the fans, the players and unified them incredibly well - certainly better than anyone else in my life time. When was the last time you heard about the WAGs? His game plan is rudimentary but no worse than Portugal 2016 or even France 2018. Ultimately he's significantly improved England's international record, year on year, that's all anyone can ask.
Feel for Denmark, they offered very little going forward but we knew that. Sterling's pen looked legitimate in person although obviously I would hate that being given against us so definitely unfair. Although, by the letter of the law, Denmark's free kick shouldn't have been given either.
I get that the media coverage is annoying if you have to follow English media for the coverage but at this stage it's to be expected. The Italian media are hardly any better, they called Belgium v Italy the 'real' final weeks ago.
