That was a rollercoaster. Made it into town for 7am kickoff to watch in a bar before work then had to go to work at full time. Managed to watch extra time on my phone which a few others in the office were too. Already booked Monday off regardless of who made the final so no concerns of it goes to extra time.
Didn't think I'd get to see England in a major final in my lifetime so absolutely buzzing. My earliest football memory is the shootout at Euro 96 so feels like a lot of past heartbreak at these things has been somewhat overcome, but of course still might end up being the hardest of the lot.
As expected seeing a lot of typical sour grapes from people who follow English football and English clubs but hate England for whatever reason. "Easy draw," "Home advantage," "Not a penalty" etc but each to their own. Difficult to see a way past Italy but just great to actually be there for once.
Interestingly just seen Denmark's goal technically shouldn't have stood either. https://www.sportbible.com/football/news-the-laws-of-the-game-say-denmarks-goal-should-not-have-stood-20210707?source=facebook
