This isn’t a defence of Arteta, but I never cease to be amazed at how little professionalism the players themselves show in games like that. Regardless of age, regardless of experience, regardless of future at the club, I can’t understand how a player can go out with all that to play for and turn in the performances they did. We failed on workrate and desire as much as we did on tactics.
