It's ignorant to keep blaming the players. No team with worse players will play like this. Just about everyone is afraid of making an error it feels. Whatever Arteta said before kick off worked. Only we didn't fluke a goal. We kept them at bay and still need just one goal. That is really what Arteta is chasing.

We look so disjointed and uncoordinated. There is not enough movement off the ball, and there is far too much distance between our players. This makes it nearly impossible to get any sort of pace on the ball. No real pressing either. I hate Arteta ball.

Ljungberg and Keown both in agreement that we need better control in midfield, it's just Partey who's left to deal with whatever situation we face. Roles don't seem to be clearly defined in this formation.

We need to stop playing so wide. Keeping one player out wide on the opposite side is ok, but the rest have to stay tighter and closer. That's how you create pace, intensity and make it difficult for the other team.

He genuinely has no idea how to coach an attack. He's not exactly a defensive mastermind either just extremely cautious.

Exactly, wanting to lose here because you think we'll lose the final is still taking away whatever chance we have at winning the final. Unless you're saying the chance of winning the final is 0%, in which case you could simply bet everything you have on United and live your life as a rich guy.

Yeah, it's not ideal. We really should have started with more urgency. I think Elneny and Martinelli would bring a lot of energy though and we have to try something. Eddie is a high-energy player too who could come on with 20-30 minutes left, press them high.

I'm just really worried that when we do make a change it will be Laca, and Willian, and then maybe Marty at the end when we're getting desperate.

United are a bit shit themselves. Ole has lost two and drawn one vs Arteta plus its a final, I definitely want to see us there I'd actually back us to shithouse ourselves a win there, bigger chance of that happening than winning tonight.

Might be a blessing in disguise if we don't get through, ManU are in decent form and would hate to think how we'd fare against them. I'd still rather we won though and worry about the final later.
