Shocking approach to the first half of this game. We have clearly tried to keep them out first and may be fluke a goal along the way. There has been no concerted push. Arteta better bring out his best team talk for the second. Villareal are average.

Would be tempted to put on both Martinelli and Elneny fairly early in the second half, they both have a lot of energy. I think it's far more likely that Willian and Lacazette will come on though.

Front 5 looks completely disjointed. Right wing is a mess. The tempo would put you to sleep. This is fucking ridiculous for the 2nd leg of a Euopean semi final that we need to win.

No matter if the chance of winning the final was only 10% (and it's always more than that in a final) it would be worth risking seeing us lose miserably. Wanting to lose today because you think you'll lose the final is the same as wanting to finish outside top 4 because you think we'll lose in the CL, it's just weird.

Basically our only chance was pin-balling to Aubameyang for a snap shot. With the most attacking line up Arteta could muster. At home. In a must win. Against the mighty Villarreal.
