This showed that the 12 people in charge of these clubs aren't as all-powerful as some on here hyped them up to be. It's looking like ESL is dead within two days of being condemned by the entire football world.
In reality there won't be penalties, not a chance. In fact I think the other 14 clubs will consider it a huge win that the pressure and nature of the withdrawal means that they don't have to offer up any further concessions to the big 6, at least for now.

City were the last ones to sign up and were initially reluctant. Generally the incentives for the cash rich clubs is nowhere near as big, they don't need the extra money.Â
We need this momentum to oust Kroenke.
In all serious, I can see us and Tottenham looking for buyers now. Serious money has been lost.
Potential investors should be licking their lips.

I think the issue with Stamford Bridge killed it. Once that happened Chelsea started the paper work. Then all of a sudden City made their statement. I think they just wanted to get out ahead of Chelsea as they knew that was it.
once Amazon said they weren't interested in the broadcast rights, everyone filled their trousers quick smart.
wonder if we'll hear from our gutless leadership at all. wouldn't be surprised if arteta and the players are pissed off about this

I don’t think that can happen. It would be very hard to enforce. We decided to set up a new European competition after the current champions league contract ends. We didn’t violate anything legally.
But we did have an ethical transgression. The counter-action needs to be collective from the Premier League and Championship clubs. The smaller teams should lay out a set of principles and refuse to kick a ball until they are adhered to.

What did it say?
Seems like most other clubs or players have issued some kind of rebuke. Arsenal strangely quiet, maybe not surprise from the owners but not one of our players seems to have had anything to say.

Yeah we are strangely quiet. Meek on and off the pitch. Only Auba tweeted that he don't really care about anything.
Liverpool players have collectively now all posted on social media that they refuse the ESL.
The players have probably been told not to comment on anything.

I mean.. I don't think the other founding fathers particularly want the players at their clubs to speak up against it either.
Auba's tweet was really weird and then immediately deleted. Very odd.
It's a non-negotiable.

Maybe people just don't give a shit about Arsenal.Â
I mean that's quite possible says something about the state of the club that no-one in it seems able to connect with the fans/grassroot of the game.
looks like the clubs tactic is to pretend it didn't happen. a bland tweet about withdrawing, some brief words from arteta about moving forward, and that'll be about the most we can expect. vinai might walk though

Sad thing about this is Rex and Captain will disappear again after this failed coup.
