Football is pretty boring to be fair. Even the big games. When was the last classic United vs arsenal tie? We used to have soem wild games against spurs but even they are cagey affairs now.

As much as people are against the ESL and I get why, people don't have the attention span for so many shit games in a season. We play maybe one decent european tie per season. If i hadnt been heavily indocterinated with football growing up I wouldnt become a fan now.

You can't say that football is more boring now because United vs. Arsenal ties are more boring. Both teams are much worse than before. In comparison, matches between Liverpool and Manchester City are better than matches than Liverpool and Manchester City 15 years ago.

Some juicy leaks regarding the ESL project from Suddeutsche Zeitung (who are very reliable and have history of breaking important news in the past).

JP Morgan chase is just the middle man in the ESL project, the actual money is coming from Saudi government.
Fiorentino Perez has vested interests in the project as his construction company is supposed to rake in billions from the Saudi regime to build a new tourist destination city in Saudi to compete with likes of Dubai.
Chelsea / Man City only withdrew from the project due to government pressure from Russia / Abu Dhabi
Each of 12 member clubs have already spent millions in marketing and legal fees to execute the breakaway league.
