Think I said it some time ago but we should specifically go after KRC Genk, pay them whatever they want for their scouting department and academy staff. In the last ten or so years they found SMS de Bruyne Koulibaly Carrasco Bailey Courtois and Malinovskiy off the top of my head, and they found them in Ligue 2, Slovakia Ukraine Serbia etc. Pre covid that's probably worth half a billion in transfer fees and they paid maybe 5m for all of them.
This is exactly what we need to do. I’m not even joking. A club like Genk or Lille, we just need to walk in and hire everyone. What we need is the ability to find players, buy the players, finish them off in the academy (if needed), and then integrate them into first team. Anybody important who is invoked in making this happen - we need to just pay - technical directors, scouts, analysts. Their salaries will cost us a fraction of what we throw away every year
