Can't see us signing any striker that's hot on the market at the moment. Think we probably need to focus on signing talented strikers whose careers have stalled at other (big) clubs.

Martial worth a punt? Could have a similar career with us like Sturridge had at Liverpool after leaving Chelsea if he gets his head right.

Still think we should make the offer and more so whilst we are sitting in top4 and Barca aren't.
He may like the idea of joining another hungry young team playing a similar tactical style to when he was at Ajax.
If we did sign him we could be set in midfield for much of the next decade.

Was close to signing for Frankfurt last summer, now all but done either for a nominal fee this winter or next summer for free. Nine goals and eight assists last season for a frankly shit Nantes side, at seven this season already. Given Ben Manga's (Eintracht chief scout) track record the last few years and the eye ball test I think this kid is destined for big things, checks all boxes really physicality pace dribbling and finishing. Doesn't always look smooth but with his physique and playing style unless you're Thierry Henry you rarely do and he more than makes up for it with his defensive work rate.

There are soem sublime moments in there where some of the shit he's pulling off looks like it took so much technique, at other times he looks like he's barely kicked a ball in his life haha.

Yeah definitely, he's pretty unorthodox almost like he's not fully used to moving his own body. Players who are 6'2+ with great dribbling ability often look somewhat awkard, bar Henry I really can't think of anyone who looked smooth while doing it. Adriano at a stretch

True, although the first person that came to mind when you said that was Kanu who always looked silky smooth on the ball and whilst dribbling rather than Adriano. Although the Adriano call then made me remember Zlatan. Not sure why he slipped my mind either.

Cristiano used to be a great dribbler but not exactly smooth either with his little hectic stepovers, definitely not smooth compared to Henry. Also pretty sure he's below 6'2

Zlatan I thought of too but he just has nimble feet for a tall bloke, hasn't been a great dribbler since his Juve days although then he was smooth with it. Kanu is a good shout though
