Bar Casillas very few keepers immediately wow you in their teens and Casillas was because of his one of a kind athleticism in his youth. Donnarumma is a more traditional goalie but has improved in every season at Milan and is very good already, has added a bit of German lunatic goalie a la Neuer Kahn or Schumacher to his game in that he's very dominant in his box, he's also very vocal in organising his backline in recent seasons. I expect PSG to make the best free transfer for a couple of seasons at least here
I was literally thinking Casillas when I said with a few notable exceptions.
But yeah, like I said, I was probably guilty of the opposite of what I blamed those who I felt were rating him so highly because he was so young, where I was looking to be wowed because of those ratings.
Agreed though. He's a good keeper with a lot of games behind him. Plus he's fucking huge. He has all the ingredients. It's just a case of learning as much as he can and continuing to improve. He still has another 6-8 years before the start of the prime age for goalkeepers so time is on his side.
