I think all the English sides left have very good chances of going far.

From the rest, I would say Milan and Lille (they have a very good side and an under rated coach).

Yep, I would have had Milan up there too. Lille is a good shout. They are in a title fight and may focus on that if they progress.

Both Milan and Leicester are below Man United, Spurs and Arsenal as far as the bookies are concerned. I think most of them expect an English team to win the tournament this season.

Just saw some quotes from Arteta about the "cruel" was we were knocked out of the EL last season. Apparently we scored, they scored in the final minutes of extra time and we were knocked out having missed with one of the last kicks of the ball by Auba.

I don't remember anything about that game. Like literally nothing other than our loss. I remember most of the run to the final in 2019 but for some reason it's like we never even played Olympiakos last year.

It was terrible. We were miles the better side especially in the first leg but failed to put our foot on the throat over 180 minutes. El-Arabi was absolutely hopeless. I wonder if he's as terrible as he came off, but somehow we created this amazing environment in the 2nd leg to allow him to do as he pleased and fuel hope with his crumb of ability. I believe they used scummy shameless time wasting tactics for much of the 2nd leg.

It was an awful game. The funny thing is looking back at the team, there will only be a couple of minor changes to that side I reckon.

The cruellest thing about that game is we went out on away goals to a team that had an extra 30 mins to score said away goal. It's genuinely one of the dumbest, most unjust rules in football that seems to reward fate more than anything else.

Imagine we go out on away goals this year with no fans and the games taking place in neutral venues. Absolutely ridiculous.

Of course that wasn't Auba's fault, just like it wasn't Luiz's fault that Auba did what he did when he missed that sitter either.

It also means you play 30 minutes more in front of your own crowd than in the other venue.

Genuine horror show that tie. Think Auba missing from like four yards banished this game from everyone's memory
