Yeah, interesting arseblog post today on the idea of ruthlessness. If he's saying need to be ruthless with the squad why did we sign Willian, he will surely be gone. Also cull his coaches,strip Arteta manager role and can he admit we went out because of his failure in preparing the team.
There is literally nothing that indicates Arteta is any good. Except for his ability to say things that allow people to willingly delude themselves that he must be good because he talks so well.
When you're only ruthless with players you don't like anyway its more like pettiness.
I agree that there is no indication Arteta is a good coach. I haven't seen anything this season that I think makes him look good, no real area of strength, no signs that something good is coming from him. His weaknesses are plain as day and there are plenty of them. I just can't see him figuring out enough of them to make him a top coach.

I agree and I don't think that helps the players at all. It makes them more nervous, its the opposite of building confidence. Everything about his management is focussed on mistakes rather than positives. It inhibits us and has players playing within themselves.
