I really dislike how he always throw the players out of the bus when the going gets tough. Its always them lacking confidence, them having no experience or not good enough for us.

I agree Clrnc, throughout his time here when things don't go well or he makes these calls on his non negotiables the perspective seems to be well he's obviously correct and the fault must be elsewhere because that's surely why he must do these things. But it negates that he is a total novice and might just very stubborn and not good at managing people.

The more I've seen of his style the more I think that is part of it and it's his style that's a problem. He is so like mourinho a very bland type of football set up to win by very fine margins and seems to really turn against his own players.

I just don't see how in the 3 seasons he's been here there is a supported case to say we've made any progress.

The next question is can he flip us back or will we flop to end the season worse than we started?

I would like to say I envy your sense of zen and tranquillity, but I'm afraid we've essentially been on this journey since the time of the move which is now approaching 20 years gone by. At the end of the day the club seems content to prioritise it's financial model ahead of the football (every bit as Arteta and AW before him stuck to their football philosophy rather than being more pragmatic in better utilising their resources as being some sort of compromise), and the idea that the football will eventually come together and our time will come. Problem being things do not change if you let things happen as opposed to making them happen.

Agreed Arteta has an eye for talent, but then so do other managers such as Vieira and Ange who IMO have both been more ruthless and successful in their own purge and rebuilds, and their football is also easier on the eye in terms of entertainment.

A PR lesson in club values is just what we need from the ghouls who were trying to engineer a breakaway super league. It's inconceivable that they themselves might be the actual problem.

It's the kind of backwards attitude towards culture that only this fucking plague that owns us could have come up with too. Club culture is not an artificial construction that a bunch of first-grade prats at some ad firm can put together for you. It's a lived experience. They're not talking about culture, they're talking about a brand.

We have a culture at the club; what's broken at the moment is the relationship to the fans, and it's because these soulless Walmart vampires have infested the organisation from top to bottom. Forget hiring PR firms - all you need to fix this is a good stake. Or perhaps an unprotected child with some candy to steal that could lure them out into the sunlight so they'll catch fire.
