I am not saying that they are similar. My point is, as Jones said, that neither Ole nor Arteta should be anywhere near a top EPL team. Maybe one is more bad than the other, I dont care about that, what it worries me is that instead of sooner we will discover later that Arteta is, at best, a mediocre manager.

How many EPL clubs would take Arteta as manager? We are a top team! The club's decisions in this matter are astonishing

Seems more like there's a push on to get Wenger to restore diplomatic relations, show up to a few matches etc.

if this run we've been on actually was a product of us managing to duck the law of averages as some suspect, then it shouldn't take longer than the next 5-10 games for us to be exposed. if we come through it with a respectable level of performance and points, then I'll start believing theres an actual turnaround afoot

I don't think it's unreasonable to be waiting for a little bit more evidence before declaring we're on the right track. I wouldn't even put much stock in the anfield result if we lose there, it's the following games that I'll be viewing as a bellwether for progress

Yeah, even I would not use a loss at Anfield alone to criticize Arteta; only if the result/performance were awful I may argue my case today.
