the other thing you have to look at is how reasonable is it to assume that we are going to flip some kind of switch and suddenly start playing inspiring football? we manage that once every 9-10 matches or so. the NLD was a complete outlier. even a broken clock is right twice a day.
the odds of the team suddenly awaking from their slumber and playing attacking football with intense defensive pressing is extremely unlikely under arteta. either the players arent being properly coached, or they have had enough of his shit. either one is an outcome that isnt likely to be flipped on its head suddenly. arteta has been here for a while now. what is going to magically change?
i refuse to give any credence to the arguments that our squad wasnt good enough to finish above 8th. we had a better squad than all but 3-4 teams, in terms of raw talent. im just sick of the excuses and the wishing and hoping that it will all just magically turn around for arteta. we know that isnt reality.
