It's not coherent to slate Giroud for being a limited player but also praise Arsenal for getting into the spot where Giroud led the line for years.
Giroud is smart enough to say as much—that's the substance of his comments.
This is a guy who's largely accepted the truth about himself, that he's a limited player who had to work hard and get lucky to have what success he did. At the time we signed Giroud we were showing everyone our ambitions were limited, including our own players.
And yeah as far as it goes, Klaus did state in some other thread that the "values" that left with Wenger had wrecked the club, but truth is the "values" we had under Wenger were a bigger problem.
