We'll see. I'm still confident that a switch to that kind of football is what Arteta intends, even if it's much less certain whether he can pull it off.
I'm happy for him to have until the new year, big money spent or not. I keep saying it, and I know you all disagree, but the squad needed to be ripped up, lots of new players had to be brought in. In my opinion, that was always going to render the time it took to accomplish all that and bed the new players in a complete write off.
For me, Arteta has passed the first test - he's brought some very good players in and got rid of a lot of the bad players. I can see a team forming with those new players and the cream of the players that are still here. And I'm happy to give him time to see if he can get this young new team performing in a way befitting Arsenal football club.
If in 3 months we turn in a half like we did in the first at Brighton then serious questions have to be asked.
