Goon, Anzac and Claudius have said it for me.
For the record, I don't think Leicester, Tottenham, Everton or Man United have superior squads to us in terms of talent, but, with the exception of Everton, almost all neutrals would probably say they do, as would lots of Arsenal fans.
All neutral PL fans maybe, guys notoriously ignorant about players from abroad.
We have Auba up front, Partey and Ceballos in CM, Saka and Pepe for the wide positions, Tierney at LB, Gabriel and a bunch of okayish options at centre half and Leno in goal. We just added ESR and Odegaard. While that's not enough for a title push it should be more than enough to secure CL football next season, instead Auba has gone off the boil (not anyone's fault), Partey who's always been fit in the past has been injured all season (probably poor management), Ceballos and Pepe who are world class talents have been in and out of the team and while I might be on my own here I feel Leno is stagnating or even regressing since Emerys first season (likely correlated to the GK coaching change). Then we have Luiz Willian and most of all refs constantly fucking us over.
By contrast Tottenham have Kane the pen machine, Son and Ndombele while Lo Celso is a crock. United are fielding twelve players every match week while Chelsea are very poorly balanced with a defence that looks midtable. Leicester are well oiled but does anyone really wake up in the morning and say give me Harvey Barney over Pepe.
All I really said is bad luck, refs and poor management and coaching are costing us this season. By talent alone we should be sitting 3rd or 4th no matter how much tea you spit out, if you think otherwise you either can't judge talent for shit or haven't watched our lot enough for their previous clubs simple.
