prior to the start of the season, my hope was that since we really only had 2 competitions to focus on this season, with one not starting until january, that we'd come out with intensity and focus. when you dont have to worry about rotating the squad and midweek games in tiny eastern european countries, you should be able to give 110% energy and commitment and outwork every team you play. instead, we've come out completely flat and listless. brentford outworked us all over the pitch. and the man city defeat was worse than any single defeat under wenger, even the 8-2 drubbing.
we came into this season with what should have been one clear focus: complete laser-like focus on the 38 league games.
and the result has been 0 wins, 0 goals, and 7 shots on target. yes, we have 7 total shots on target. 0 in the last match.
arteta has clearly lost all control of the dressing room and the players dont want to play for him. there is no other excuse to come out as flat and listless as we have. its an utter embarrassment.
