Is it really the question, though? The question can't be a real person (Arteta) on one side, vs an unspecified nameless entity on the other. It can always be better. The best choice is out of a delimited set, not all conceivable possibilities.
That's not even a pro-Arteta concept, it simply is the case. Obviously I believe someone else could do better. It's stupid to pretend otherwise. I also think Arteta can do better. Both can be true, it's not one or the other.
Even if Arteta fails this season, whoever replaces him may be better set up for success later than if they replaced him now. I think the time for him to be sacked, strategically, has passed for the moment.
