Now you’re getting the hang of it, Quiss. As Quince said, those tables can be used to suit any argument. If you’re out to prove how shit we are then you may as well use them.
It makes more sense to me to count from the actual halfway point too, instead from 4 or 5 games before, because that’ll obviously mean the fixtures played wouldn’t’ve been consistent across the board. Which you’d think is important when comparing results against each other.
44 points from 23 games does sound pretty good, though, doesn’t it?
I am relieved though, that the four good results, that aren’t accounted for in the second half of the season, were against four teams sitting in a part of the table we struggled against. Dropped points against wolves, palace, southamption, fulham and burnley is what’s fucked us. If we can, more often than not, pick up 10 points from every 12 available, from teams of that quality, then i think we’ll be in pretty good shape. We’ve seen all four of those teams mentioned pick up points against some of the league’s big dogs recently, though, so it’s obviously going to be a bit of challenge to become that consistent.
