Palace, Brighton and Brentford are in for Nelson.

His contract expires in 2022 and there has been no breakthrough in terms of signing an extension.

I would not be averse to selling. I think he has no future here under Arteta.

Such a shame, I reckon Nelson would have held his own if given some of Willian's mins last year. Certainly couldn't have done much worse.

That being said, I think he'll turn out to be an Eze level talent. Someone who'll look quality but lacking the game intelligence and intensity to really shine consistently.

Yeah agree with that Goon. Its a pity too because I think he'd be ideal depth in that area this season too. Get Willian out and let Nelson be cover for Pepe and Saka along with Martinelli.

As for long term I think he could be a player who comes good later on. Seems more like a nervous player than lacking intelligence to me, just needs to settle down a little.

he turns 22 this year. if it's nerves he has a limited shelf life as an attacker so he needs to get over it fast.

Aye he's our linguard (scored 4 on his debut) or [size=large]Iheanacho. They score but if you want to be a top club you have to be able to control the games a bit and to do that you need brilliant footballers. Not very average players who are great at scoring. [/size]

[size=large]Hopefully he rounds his game and comes back and makes it. Otherwise any manager with lofty ambitions is going to want more of a baller at 10 someone like Ode. [/size]

I'm pretty much I agreeance. willock is a tweener without a real home position, and has holes in his games apart from his nose for space in the box. he might have a surprise developmental arc to plug those holes but it's an outside chance

Nelson looked great for Hoffenihem yet has done fuck all for us.

The badge weighs heavier when you play for Arsenal.

8 of them were in Premier League for a much worse team than Arsenal where it should have been more difficult to get goals. How is going to Newcastle taking the easy route? Bloke was performing on a level that no one at this club matched.

Franny Jeffers was a machine at Everton - a team a lot worse than Arsenal where it should have been more difficult to get goals.

What did Jeffers achieve at Arsenal?

When you play for a big club it’s a different pressure, not everyone can make it regardless of what they do at smaller clubs.

I don't give a fuck about how many goals Jeffers scored, he's not the player we're discussing. But yes, it was definitely harder for him too to score those for Everton than it would have been for Arsenal at the time. It's not harder to score for a club like Arsenal, that's a ridiculous thing to say. The pressure might be higher to perform but so is the standard of literally everything else.

Moreover, Jeffers got his chance (was injured a lot), Willock has barely got a run though. He couldn't be worse than Elneny or Ceballos last season.

Whenever we're buying a player it's based on what he's done at a different club than Arsenal, so the notion that what Willock does while at loan is irrelevant is clearly bullshit.
