There are plenty of matches for Sainte and Nice where he's looked class, he's cost us 30m and he's still just turned 20. I'd really like to hear the reasoning behind Saliba not being rated by "the club".

This is where you'd have to worry about the club. Arteta is whatever as a manager, some think he's good some think he isn't but what club in world football would give him free reign like this? Utter madness in spending that money on an 18 year, who subsequently looked very good for the teams he played for in France, yet we cant get him a game.

Sheer nonsense, and there is no way Arteta should be allowed to do this without giving him a go.

Honestly for me it's the other way around. Arsenal FC is a soulless corporation that happens to sell football, I've come to terms with that a while ago. Fuck knows what Edu is doing but generally speaking nobody above the manager has any relation to football, Dein was a piece of shit but at least he understood the sport and the game. Which is why the position of manager has to be filled by someone who knows what they're doing

I'm reserving judgement as lequipe are a shit source, and are usually shit stirrers when French players at non-french clubs aren't getting game time. English joirnos have said he'll come back, so I'll choose to believe that until proven otherwise. but yes, massive massive red flag if saliba isn't given a fair chance to prove himself. the only legit reason I can think of is if saliba threw a major hissy over not being allowed to play in the cup final.

Yep, Lequipe & GFF seem to hate us and love running bad shit about us, fuck em. We will see what happens.

It’s a real wait and see situation. We can all break windows if the club does something moronic, but for now let’s save our anxiety and ire.

L'equipe is definitely a shit source but then again it wasn't them who made a mess out of Saliba's situation. Wait and see obviously but this is the transfer rumour section, not like there's a lot to do other than get irrationally happy and angry at alleged transfers

The manager is chosen by the people above him and in that regard they fucked up massively. Then they handed him added responsibility. Arteta is not a good manager but the way they hired a rookie with no structure and then promoted him as they managed to have even less structure is pure incompetence.

Again I agree 100% I'm just saying I'm expecting absolutely nothing from the people above him. Arteta on the other hand used to captain this club and was Peps assistant he shouldn't be this dumb and also not so arrogant two years into his first job.

if we sell saliba because arteta doesnt like him, its a complete and total failure. arteta is probably going to get sacked by january. then we'll again be searching for a manager and we'll be out a potentially world class centerback prospect.
