I'd say:

Wheatley, Romano, Ornstein and Whatt are the ones most worth listening to. Chris Wheatley (who works for Football London) in particular seems to be very well connected these days.

The tiers on r/gunners are ridiculous. How is Sky tier 4 and gunnerblog tier 2? When has James ever had a transfer story. This is the guy who wrote an article about how Auba was revving his car instead of doing the team warm down when there is footage of him doing the warm down. I actually think he's a pretty entertaining guy and good blogger but he hasn't a fucking clue about anything.

I can't find gunnerblog, never read it either. Sky is absolute garbage though so should definitely be 4. I really only pay attention to Wheatley, Watt, Ornstein, The Bell (somehow), Romano and Boufhasi. Ornstein had some embarrassing moments but what he says is still more often correct than not.

Gunnerblog works for the Athletic and Arsecast, in fairness to him I don't get the impression he'd wilfully make anything up (might parrot information relayed to him from dodgy sources) and generally the bits he normally comes out with seem fairly reliable. But he's not really someone I'd associate with transfer news, mostly deals in fluff and filler, doubt he has many or any noteworthy contacts.

Yes, except I'd much rather hear the "fluff and filler" than all the transfer nonsense anyway. Noteworthy contacts or not, nobody actually knows anything.

Jeremy Wilson relegated to tier 3. Used to be quite reliable.

Sami Mobkel seems to have decent sources these days. Have broke quite a lot of scoops.

Boufahsi and Di Marzio should be tier 1 easily for French or Italian news respectively.

its interesting to me to see how accurate and fast guys are when there are changes at a club.

i remember years ago, i think i was the first person to suggest that AFCAMDEN's source at the club might have been jack wilshere, because when wilshere left, camden rarely had any accurate/timely news. it would make sense that he was on the money and knew what was going on when he was getting his info from a prominent player inside the club.

likewise, ornstein was probably getting his info from someone like wenger, because since wenger has left, ornstein hasn't been breaking much news. so you wonder who someone like romano is getting his news from. you'd have to assume hes friendly with agents for the top players at clubs, and so hes getting fed that info from people who are directly linked to the process.

Yeah Romano get his news directly from agents. Once he got wind of it, he will ask his sources at clubs, be it primary or secondary for any kind of confirmation before reporting. He had a documentary on youtube explaining the process.

Romano regurgitates a lot of news first broken by other journos especially for the markets he has no connections in.

He surely has good sources in Italy. For other markets, I would take his word with a lot of salt.

Honestly won't surprise me if we sold Saliba, way too much smoke about a new CB and him leaving.
