Great chance to reshape the team and lose so many of the unathletic players who make us dull and easy to play against. We definitely wouldn’t be able to do that if we were in Europa Conference League going to play teams like Shkupi and Qarabag.

More like slash and burn IMO as we have no UEFA football distractions or excuses.

This is likely to be our best opportunity for a reset to establish the spine and core to the squad that will not only regain top4 but then also kick on in both EPL and UEFA. This applies both on and off the pitch as to our club structures including coaching and management staff.

I'll be peeved if KSE do not take advantage of this opportunity being almost a 'get out of jail for free' card, and the very minimum expectations I have are to start the season with a match day squad that is fit for purpose = no square pegs, and the expectation for the season must be to regain top4.

He was 'linked' to Atletico recently and also reports other clubs in Ligue 1 and Serie A and/or BL were also 'interested'.

Di Marzio doubling down on Xhaka news. Says he admires Mourinho and desperately wants to join Roma. We don't mind to sell at right price, our asking price is 25m, lower than what we paid for him but seems reasonable in this market.

Big opportunity to remodel. It’s about being faster in both directions. I just hope the guys have the wherewithal to do it. Also if we are losing Xhaka we need to reach out to Monaco and put a down payment on Tchouameni. And then we can take our time with the 2nd guy. Maybe even get some unknown high potential guy from Austria.

Faster, and more technical.

Basic passes and touch at pace we mess up. More agility to beat presses and retain the ball is needed as well.

It will be interesting to see who we target.

Ability to receive the ball on the half turn, more athletic, one touch play capable, consistent passing with decent range, can tackle. Those are the minimum criteria that need to be met by our replacement Xhaka. I’d like a tempo controller also if possible.
