Was watching some Arsenal season reviews of the past seasons and genuinely surprised how little Ozil contributed in crucial moments even during his best seasons. Truly a luxury icing on the cake player. Nothing more.

But we have playmakers who are more adapted to the modern game. Odegaard and ESR each had three recoveries and Odegaard was 3/3 on tackles. This is what you need to compete against these more robust midfields. Once those two have Partey with Bissouma behind them, they will tear shit up for the front 2.

Play him next to Partey in the Xhaka/Ceballos role & run everything through him as we see with Xhaka.
Sign Buendia to give him another passing option.

I think we need to work with him to find a situation that keeps him whole. So we need to be active in this process. A contract is a two way agreement. Both parties need to honor it

I think people ate up the click bait ‘Willian is on 250k including his mileage expenses’ articles too easily. Most reputable reports said he took a small pay cut from Chelsea and is on about 100k. If that’s the case then moving him on was never going to be an issue.
