Definitely. Handy backup for RCB in a back three if we needed him there too. I think Mikel really likes what Chambers brings to the team. Another great game from him on Thursday.

To think that he got abused for bringing him back into the team so abruptly after he was considered fit enough. Chambers’ last three weeks have effectively ended Bellerin’s, already shaky looking, career here.

Keen on signing Odegaard. The nice thing about Willock is he is very spiky so you can find specific use cases for him. The other guys can go build long careers at Everton, once we get back above them 😆

With all the talk about limited funds and needing to sell to buy I am less and less convinced we should splurge on Odegaard. He's a fine player but have much more pressing areas that need attention first.

Yeah I think we should start clearing space in that end, especially now that we need homegrown players. Easy to forget that Bellers counts as one too.

I'm ambivalent about Ødegaard too. I think he's gonna be very expensive, and Smith-Rowe always looks more dangerous when he plays centrally.

Balogun and Azeez count as homegrown players.
We would still have Holding, ESR, Saka, Chambers, Nelson, Saliba for domestic, etc.

There is no need to keep lower quality players in the squad just to check off a box, especially if they can raise funds for better players.

Balogun and Azeez won't be part of the squad because they're underage, so they don't count. Same as Saka and Smith-Rowe.

Maitland-Niles is probably the best box to box midfielder and the best right-sided wingback at the club at the moment. Having a great loan too and proving Arteta wrong about exactly everything. I can't see the logic in selling him. This is just first grade shithousery where the manager can't fess up that he misjudged a player.

Its nothing to do with his quality. He was late for training.

Yep. If we can't get Odegaard we would need to get Pedro Goncalves. Looks even more impressive than Bruno and tons of goals in his game.

I wish we can get rid of Elneny and Xhaka, bring AMN to play at CM and get Tchouameni as well. Need a huge transformation in CM.

I don't know much about Tchouameni but I am definitely of the opinion we should sign one starting CM of considerable quality and just let 2 of Willock, AMN and Douzi take the other 2 spots in midfield.
