True but I don't think it has much to do with size. Cesc got away with his size because he rarely got himself in situations to be bullied. He was always moving for a start and always finding small pockets of space the receive the ball and most importantly knew exactly what was around him before he got the ball. The fucker would have easily been my favourite player before he ruined it all, probably more so than Thierry.

Patino will do well if he reaches half his level during the Arsenal years.

Cesc had football intellect beyond his years. It was incredible his understanding of space. You don't have to be grown if you have that kind of a brain. Football has evolved though. Never seen Patino and only go by what everyone here says but a talent as big as Wilshere is great praise.

Cesc had a brain like a supercomputer as a teenager, he could effortlessly solve problems about four accelerating bodies in motion to find the one square yard of grass where the striker would be able to collect the ball and shoot.

It's one thing to be able to deliver a long pass and there's some lovely stuff in Patino's compilations.

Patino is fine. He relies on agility to turn away from opponents.

Yup, closed a 2 or 3 days ago. Apparently we rejected the bid because of worries about cover for midfield with Partey injured, Xhaka suspended and Lokonga still new.if only we could afford to buy a CM this summer.

Unless he dramatically ups his performance then I think we'd mad not to given that he'll be 27 by the end of the season.
