goon Hope so. I know managers have no room for sentiment, but Arteta knows how loved Smith Rowe is (and indeed he says he shares that love) and how much is emotionally invested in him. I do have a worry that Arteta does sometimes say things that turn out to be untrue (a la the Ramsdale/Raya situation) and that the ArsenalVision boys seem convinced Emile is destined for other parts, but I think these words today show that there may still be room for him at Arsenal.
Notwithstanding the fact that, as we've all noted, on the ball Emile seems a much better fit for the left 8 role than Kai Havertz is. It's the off the ball work which needs to improve. Wednesday was a good step in that regard.
