ESR looked great even when he played under Emery. Everything he’s doing now he was doing then even as an 18yr old. There’s a reason why Leipzig took him on a 6 month loan and we’re desperate to buy.

His Championship loan was perfect to get him ready for the PL though. I said it at the time but I was hopeful it would be similar to when Jack went of loan to Bolton. Turn the kid into a man. Thats what our other kids needs.

He's fantastic. I think he still has a gear or two or three to his game too which is scary. I hope we can keep him injury free now

Says Laca has been a big help to him settling in and growing as a player, loves playing with the other young guys, and tries to play one touch wherever possible. Some others could take note of that last point.

Xhaka has been playing quite well recently and not too dissimilar to how he performs for his NT team. Looks a lot better when he's not the DLP.

Has done really well since coming into the team.. We have really needed it as well as I feel Saka, whose been our main creative outlet is starting to tire a bit... may need to give him a rest soon. He's really positive and a great accelerator of play which the team has responded to. Passing is decent as well which I wasn't expecting. Not sure AM is his best position, but he has been a breath of fresh air from our timid attacking play.

I agree, but the irony is Saka has 3 goals and an assist in 4 games since ESR came into the side (just the one goal before that). In fact I think ESR set up all 3 goals too.

Would be good to see what Pepe can do with ESR in there to link up with.

Yep, and secure him on the cheap for the long term. 5-6 year contract or whatever if he’ll agree, with the understanding that you will revisit and revise based on his performances.

What world class player are we going to sign for number 10? Honestly who's going to come to Arsenal with no European football probably and definitely no CL who is a "world class" number 10?

Problem is they'd both cost a fortune and even if we got someone like Grealish I'd play him wide most of the time to make space for ESR. With Emiles emergence I think the need for a clear first choice, top class attacking mid is in question. We definitely need someone there but I think for now we need to see if ESR can keep this up and stay fit. If he can then we are set. If not then we can reassess.

I think the Partey partner and a striker might be our areas in need of investment more than number 10.
