yeah he was a good player. quick feet, an eye for a pass and slotted in well with other pass and move players. not such a crazy comparison. and I don't think he's faster than hleb, who was deceptively rapid.

I didn't catch that he brings that ball forward for himself with a small rabona. His close control is amazing.

Watch also the runs he makes prior to laying the ball off for Ceballos. He makes those runs with conviction, so the defender is forced to stay honest and keep up with him, thereby opening up pockets of space which others can drift into as needed to create or convert chances.

He is special. Soon enough his runs will be picked out by his teammates, and he will begin to add goals.

He will add goals because the kid knows how to finish.

For him and Saka to roll off the Hale End production line at the same time is almost too good to be true.

Absolutely Ricky. If Nelson can come good as well, that would be quite something.

The goals are inevitable. As these kids get more used to each other and they have more City-like movement around the box, he will find himself in finishing positions. ESR can manipulate a ball anyway he wants, so finishing won’t be hard

He has very good composure. Well, he did at youth level. You could find clips of lots of big goals - late goals and winners etc. - where he passed it into the corner like he was playing in his garden or finished emphatically when that was exactly what was called for. In thst respect, Hleb he ain't.

Just because this team is in 10th and misfiring, I don't think non-Arsenal fans really appreciate how good ESR and Saka are. They already look as good as England national team players 2 - 4 years their seniors. I think they are both the best graduates since Fabregas (Gnabry excepted). We no longer need to qualify them as good kids. They are just good and central to everything we do

I'm still being cautious with my heart. They're both in vulnerable stages of their careers and need a bit of protection.

Everyone 3-4 years senior should be done at international level by the time the next world cup happens. As well as our 2 you've got Foden and Sancho. Maybe even Mount and Greenwood could be included.

Depends really. Grealish could still be going strong when he's 30, or he could be totally irrelevant. Same with Maddison.

I think the guys I mentioned, especially the first group are better. And I reckon if anyone is still competing with them it'd be Sterling who is better than those 2 as well.

saka in particular gets massively overlooked by most non-arsenal viewers because no-one watches us when we're sitting in such an inconsequential league position. we need to climb the table or he just needs to score a worldie or two to get mouthbreathers to notice him i suppose

Guys like Saka are never going to be as hyped as guys like Greenwood I reckon, but he's a better footballer in every sense of the word.

I'm not fussed really. He's going to stay here and do great things for us and that's all that matters.

I think Saka has been getting plenty of hype more recently to be fair, it helps when you're scoring goals and making the highlight reels regularly.

It's a shame he'll probably be restricted from getting a spot on the RW for England, though he's still a very good left wing back you're really limiting what he can do from there.

Saka & ESR should make the squad, and anything can happen from there - just ask Hurst = IIRC he was not 1st choice at the start of the tournament and was doubtful to start in The Final.
