6 assists this season in just 11 starts, the new assist king? Wasn't exactly a simple square ball today either.

Reckon once he fully develops physically his ability to carry the ball will really come along too.

I love this kid. He was sloppy with his first touch in the middle third a few times today, althoug it happened out on the left wing.

Just a couple of things to work on in his game.

The difference as soon as he went off was incredible. It was accentuated further by bringing Ødegaard off too shortly thereafter, but right away you could tell we were missing a dimension. It's not just the assists, it's the little touches and dribbles, the movement off the ball, the quick tempo changes. Starting to become almost as vital as Saka.

Yup. The lovely thing about all 3 of these kids is they are technically sound. And they move the ball fast. None of this Xhaka and Laca dwelling on the ball. Get it, move it, move your body. I’ll try to find a speed of attack measure but I’m sure we were attacking much faster today just because of these guys.

ESR is so good that I think he should actually be taken to Euro 2020. If Southgate isn’t mental he will promote him.

ESR's movement into the center with Aubameyang drifting left was difficult for Leeds to handle. They combined really well and complimented each other. It's not just what the 4 in attack brought on and off the ball but they are aware, smart and intelligent footballers.

Add a Partey in the mix and an on-song Cabellos and we have a really exciting, technical and intelligent attack.

He would normally be in with a shout but Southgate has plenty more established options at his disposal playing in the same position to be fair. Likes of Grealish, Foden and Maddison are probably all ahead in his thinking.

hleb vibes from him. pre-assist, lubricate-the-moving-parts type of player. the ball just moves smoother when him and saka are playing, and I feel odegaard will enhance those two further. throw partey and a sharp dani behind them, and we got a stew going

Saw a comment from Andy Townsend(?) in a post game analysis with Tony Adams, and he said he thinks ESR could be better than MO = huge call to make, but not beyond the realms of possibility.
Also recall seeing another comment last week that questioned the need to pursue Grealish when we have ESR.

We don’t need Grealish. Just get Odegaard in and dump Laca. And our front is set. Let United and City drop big money on Grealish if they’re so inclined.

Actually inclined to agree based upon the likely fee and requirement for him to then be a starting player.

EDIT - with that same money we could sign Ceballos, MO, Buendia & Olise, and then have some left over to go towards a clinical finisher/fox in the box.

His pass for the assist was sublime, but the way he controlled that ball into his feet and turned exactly into space to make that chance was almost equally as impressive. Natural baller.

I didn't catch that he brings that ball forward for himself with a small rabona. His close control is amazing.

His touch was sublime before the third goal yesterday too when he sucked down the ball before passing it to Ceballos. Someone described it as having velcro on his boots in the match thread: http://arsenalist.com/f/2018-19/45-bellerin-goal-3-0-2021-02-14.html
