Brad did a great job as coach and he's such a sound dude I'm glad he's staying within the organization. 25,40,48,53 to 55 wins in his first five seasons in recycling the team and both him and Ainge building a group that at one point included Hayward, Horford, Brown, Tatum, Irving and Smart. Just a shame injuries and Lebron thwarted a bunch of runs but 3 ECFs in last 5 seasons is not bad. Pretty sad about Ainge and Stevens not reaching the pinnacle in their partnership. Mixed success from Ainge in pitches to Durant in 2016, Horford 2016, Irving+Hayward 2018, Davis 2019. Overall, C's play under Stevens was just pure joy to watch, particularly during the Isiah tenure, then the Horford tenure but something start to slip away. So this could be a great opportunity for the team, for the J's.
Billups is bookies favorite, highly touted. Its possible a relatively unknown name will be plucked by Zarren, Stevens and his college connections. On the flipside as Woj indicated, it could also be a coach in a team still in the playoffs that may leave his/her station and become available.
