Surely that’s a bit of a contradiction no? If they dominated against Liverpool and City and played well, isn’t that what we should try to prevent?

Just checked, Leicester and Wolves both had a lot more of the ball, so that’s the way to go 😆

Poor Saka. I wonder how Arteta would deal with Southgate. Clearly playing at Euro 2020 would be a massive ambition for Saka. But what Southgate did last week, playing him into the ground was uncalled for. Would Arteta be in his right to give him a call and ask that he exercise restraint in future?

Did Saka play three full matches? Apparently Tierney played 270 minutes as well.

It wasn’t exactly 3 full matches. He came on early in the second game. Maybe about 15 minutes in due to an injury. But 2 full games in the 1st and 3rd. He played well. Man of match award 1st game but probably 2nd to Grealish. Did well 2nd. And then probbaly 4th best after Foden, Grealish and Mount in the last game. The manager will have come out of these games determined to play a 343 with Saka left wing back and Grealish left forward.

As for the line-up this weekend, expect the standard team. We have Molde next Thursday. That’s when Nelson, Willock, etc will play.

Bellerin has been decent going forward but he's been dreadful at defending.

Niles should get a shot now.

Niles plays sloppy when he's disinterested. He's barely been used this season.

Not sure that's a valid reason for him to start, if anything that's a mark against him for being disinterested at Old Trafford. Miles has a specific role to play at left back against wingers that cut in, there's not much evidence to suggest he should be first choice beyond that.

Not only on Southgate though, as Arteta has been overplaying him.

I think he probably needs a rest vs Leeds, and then maybe some limited minutes vs Molde. A week "off" could do his body wonders I'm sure.

Not sure if you are being sarcastic or you genuinely looked at it wrongly 😆 They barely had about 30% possession.

I mean, that is Leeds style. Possession gung-ho style where even top sides like City and Liverpool struggle to have the ball against. You think they didn't want to prevent it?
