Will be interesting to see how Arteta approaches this one. After we lost to City and then Brighton he changed things up, I wonder if the loss to Villa will serve as a similar prompt to try something new? I hope so, not anything big, but some sort of tweak to try and make us a little more dangerous going forward. I'm guessing we'll have the 3-4-3 again, it's designed to be good on the transition defensively and it's one thing Leeds are excellent at.

Elneny has COVID so I assume will miss this game, there are some doubts about Partey but Bell says he should be fit so here's hoping. There's also something about Willian going to Dubai but I don't think that's an issue.

I'm going for a hybrid of what I'd like to see vs what I'd expect to see.

Still up in the air, the press said he needs to show a negative test I think, but no word yet.
I like goon's team but I would put Saka in place of Willian. I would like 4 at the back more...but away to Leeds I think Arteta would never do that.

I actually think this could be a good game to test a Xhaka - Partey midfield. Leeds pass the ball well, but their midfield isn't the most dynamic/quick. So Xhaka should be able to deal with that by clogging up lanes and offering a shield, while freeing up Partey.

We're crying out for an AM who can help pull Pepe in narrower and bring some pressure off our CF. I'd be happy with Ceballos or Nelson there, don't want to see Willian there, well, really anywhere.

Everyone putting Auba up top is going to be maaaad when Laca misses a sitter after 10mins.

I expect Arteta will be stubborn and resist playing Auba up front, if so then I hope Eddie gets a shot instead, if nothing else he should be motivated against Leeds.

In a season where the fixture list is so condensed it's actually insane that they played him in 3 games in 6 days in 1 friendly and another 2 glorified fucking friendlies, 90 mins in two of those games too.

You're right, he needs a rest. Just had a look and he's started both League Cup games and one of the EL games too. We're going to break the kid.

Looking at Leeds record at home, this might be the kind of game we shine in if we defend and play on the counters like in big games.

I’m not sure how you can sit back and counter against a team you’re clearly better than. Even Mourinho and Simeone attack against lesser opposition, you can’t give the ball away on purpose.

So far in the games they played nobody had more possession than them. They outpassed City and Pool ffs.

The way Wolves and Leciester played them was the way to go. Soak up and hit them on the counter. They always only have 2 defenders at the back and pour everyone forward.
