Ah, ok thanks for the info. Knew the dude in that song was a big fan who happened to be called Stan but never heard anyone use it in that way (being a Stan) outside of that song.

I never understood why Ether was as hyped as it was and I used to be a bigger Nas than Jay-Z fan. Mostly calling him a dick sucker etc it's not exactly innovative. Takeover had funnier lines and anyway Nas ended up working for Jay so the end result is pretty one sided.

Yeah that'd be true if they didn't have a massive public feud though. If a guy says on albums that sold millions of times that he fucked your wife in your car and left used condoms on your kid's seat it kinda invalidates a lot of what you've said when you work for the man afterwards.

I grew up on Pac. Loved him more than any other artist as a youth. Have all his albums. But you look back on his behaviour and realise just how nuts he was.

I didn't suggest Nas should have shot him or anything, nothing to do with life and death. No problem with both of them moving on either but getting your paycheck from the man after the things that were said is a step past moving on for me

Well you have to believe all that pantomime shit in the first place to actually think it matters 20 years later. Its like boxers before a fight pretending they hate each other or comics roasting each other. Its fun and there are winners and losers but in the most minor way.
