Weird deal

Roma are the big losers in that deal, at least on the face of it. Dzeko is out of favour currently after falling out with Fonseca, but he has been so important to them over the last 4-5 years. I think he has scored once every two games since he signed for them.

Then again he's 35 next month. They probably look at Sanchez and see a player on similar wages who's three years younger. Fat load of good that'll do them when he's virtually useless though.

Inter have the worst transfer policy around. I was hoping we could give them Willian in the summer but he's probably a bit too much on the living and breathing side for Contre.

I can't see there being any more incomings personally. I know Arteta has talked about getting in a left-footed LB but I can't see that being a big enough priority to spend money on in Jan, particularly not for a temporary solution given we have workable alternatives.

I have a hunch one surprise may be that we loan out AMN, either be bringing in a left back or maybe playing Cedric there and using Chambers on the right if need be. The kid will most likely want to play to secure a place in the Euros.

agreed. not selling him in the summer was a miscalculation. i think hes definitely off this coming summer though
