Supplement that big signing with top youth prospects. Olise and Lamptey

Spending that much to bench either Auba or Marty?

If there's anything in Anzac's post above re: Sabitzer, I'd love to have him here. Has everything I would want from a midfielder - great engine, elite ball carrying, creativity in the final third and a great long range shot. He'd instantly be our best CM and is at the ideal age.

No it’s to bench Lacazette and give us options,

Partey is our best midfielder and Sabitzer wouldn’t change that!

I'd honestly rate Sabitzer a notch above Partey, although they are somewhat different players, for his greater offensive threat.

I see Sabitzer to Spurs rumours everywhere. Would be sad if that transfer happened. He would be a great Xhaka replacement.

He is a versatile player. He is originally trained as a winger but is a midfielder now. Given our formations, in the 433, he would be best utilised as the top right 8/10. In the 4231, he would either the 10 or the 11.

If we brought him in, sent Xhaka off. we could try a midfield of Partey, Ceballos and Sabitzer. I would also bring back Guendouzi

Julian Brandt linked

I’d be happy enough with that

Inconsistent, but huge potential. I'd love him here.

I’ve seen a few journos on Twitter linking us to him. Reckon this might have legs.

always liked brandt. keeps it simple, and has good movement in the final third. don't know if that's enough to make a major change to our fortunes in the space of a few months. we need a Bruno level of impact creatively

look how much we created through better movement and pressing yesterday. the chance where ESR and Bellerin failed to connect. that was pressing. Xhaka finding Bellerin on the Xhaka goal and Tierney in the lead up to penalty, that was great movement. And so on. Martinelli and the rest of the lads were running. this is the Liverpool formula. fight and run for your creativity. we don't need to pray for a de Bruyne to save us

Press and attack more compact and we won't see this boring, slow, wide spacing shit football that is too common now. We play too wide and all it does is kill the pace of the game.

of course we'll be better simply by dint of having a warm body drifting between the lines for a change,  but if that player could be a legitimate goal and assist threat as well, then more the better

I want Mané. i want us to go back to the day where he is a Southampton player blew past Holding like he was an inanimate object, and understand the discussion Wenger, Gazidis and Dick Law had after that game.

I have to admit I turned my nose up at mane at Southampton. thought he was a flake that only turned it on occasionally during a season

I'd also probably favour buendia over brandt tbh. seeing the travails of havertz and Werner gives me pause that we'll get the top level from brandt this season
