Unfortunately not.

Guimaraes was a standout, and is proving so with Newcastle. He could also play ahead of Partey.

Danilo looks to have great energy and work rate, but will take some time before showing Guimaraes like levels. Anyway with only Partey, Danilo now becomes a must in January.

Right now seems the best. His distribution- the speed, the range. His passing numbers yesterday were eye-popping.

He's the best. Definitely above Rodri. At his peak last 3 years other than Fabinho no other DM comes close to Partey.

When he's at his focused best, no one can match him. Still, he makes many odd mistakes and can turn really sloppy at times like in the second half of the Southampton game where he suddenly misplaced the simplest of passes.

Forget about Guimares. He definitely is a match for Partey yes. Ridiculously good and complete.

Ok so this is the player everyone was raving about from Atletico. He really comes out in big games, it’s almost he thrives off them. No coincidence the only game we’ve lost this season was without Partey.

Let’s be honest, we have been very fortunate he’s played this amount of games for us so far this season considering his injury issues and off the pitch problems. Touch wood it continues as he will be integral for our title challenge.

On the fitness, I think it’s no coincidence he’s handled differently to everyone else on the team. Notice he doesn’t get as many minutes in meaningless games. This is exactly how Simeone used him. He started Partey for every big game, and took him off at the end. And then used Koke and Saul for smaller games. So he had low but important minutes. I just don’t think his body can take the same strain as a Xhaka

Partey and Xhaka is an unbelievable midfield pair. I’ve said before if both stay fit and healthy we’ll win the league.
