Partey is finally playing at the level I hoped for when we signed him. Completely dominates the midfield.
Brilliant to watch us play lovely passing sequences through the midfield again after so many years of fielding utterly useless midfields.
Yuo. He's really bossing it, and I thunk playing at the base, without hav8ng Xhaka or another person crowd him out in the middle is giving him soace to pivot ans spin towards goal and then carry and dostribute the ball. It's great to see.
And I agree. We're playing possibly our best football since maybe that Leicester season. I'm back on board the Arteta bandwagon, and will continue to do so as long as we keep setting up like we do, even uf the results sometimes don't come. This new set up, with our 5 ahead of Partey playing close to one another really gives us to ability to switch up our play and go either central or out wide, and the close proximity is giving us options for quick, one touch football.
That's all I wanted from my Arsenal at a minimum. Playing good, attacking, comination play whilst sustaining penatrative pressue. Watching Arsenal should be an enjoyable getaway from the day to day life we live and luckily it's no longer a chore I feel obligated to endure.
