TBH I feel like the balance and/or roles etc in midfield are still not right regardless of who Partey plays with, or what role he plays.

I think so too. Nothing wrong with expecting more from him than he has currently shown, but he's the only central midfielder we've got who would have slotted into one of the other upper half teams in the league. The rest are bench material at best.

Hope to see more of this Partey. If he consistently reaches the level he was at for Atletico he'd walk into any midfield in the league.

MotM for me, those stats are indeed immense. Really think he'd look so much better if not in solely in charge of certain responsibilities. Looked a little abandoned in that first 30. Some lovely half turns and switch plays yesterday.

He looked a different animal second half.

We constantly talk about which one of our youngsters has the highest ceiling in our squad but sometimes I think it could even be Partey.

Needs to be more consistent though.

Think we should still expect more from him to be honest. Was a decent display but not flawless. He still gets caught on the ball a bit arms in his role it's imperative that he keeps those instances to a minimum.
