Brighton to sign Polish U21 international Jakub Moder for 12 million euros From Lech Poznan.

The player will be sent back on loan immediately to Poznan.

That is a lot of money for an unproven youngster from Polish league.

Chris Watts reporting too. Looks like that will get done. Need more details if its a simple loan or option to buy

Simple loan would be best. Try and sell next summer when hopefully everyone has a little more money.

edit: simple loan, no option according to GFFN.

Supposedly that means Lyon don't get money for Rene Adelaide...

Aulas where you at?

There’s method to Edu’s madness. Aulas will be kicking kittens all over Lyon tonight

They left Depay out of the side so I'm guessing they're banking on him leaving.

Odd tactics from a club that desperately needed to sell.

James Benge saying no loan fee, however they will cover all his wages.

That's a bit shit. He can't be on much, can he.

Terrible deal but can't be expecting anything more, since if he's here we won't play him at all

Quite right. Onto the next one now!

I don't really care about the terms of the loan honestly, as long as it's a good loan where he builds his profile. What's more important is that with Torreira and Douzi going out, our only central midfield options right now are Elneny, Xhaka, Dani and maybe Willock, who's never almost never picked to play deeper. 100% we're bringing in at least 1 midfielder.

Yeah, a £1m or £2m isn't really worth crying over from our perspecive. Is Torreia going for sure? Because we seriously cannot continue the season without at least 1 new player in midfield

He's in Madrid, he's had his medical etc (pictured), Atletico just clearing out the trash first before they're able to confirm.

Confirmed that Depay will sign for Barca. Aulas got his wish in the end he sold one of it. He played a blinder

Not confirmed yet. Depends on if Dembele goes to United.

Imagine loaning out Dembele so you can sign Depay.

I think if you’re Koeman you do it. You’ve worked with Depay at the national team and can trust him. Dembele hasn’t done it for at least 2 years - and it’s much easier to plan around a predictable 15 goal a season scorer than some guy who might give you 20 goals but is also just as likely to give you 5 goals. That creates incredible instability in your plans

That guendouzi deal is crap, but i always felt the market for him wasn't as big as people assumed. Knowing that idiot he'll go alienate the coach because he thinks he too good for hertha, and come back next summer worth less

When Milan signed Tonali for €10m+€15m, we were always fucked. That set a marker for how much you should be paying for high quality young central midfielder.

It’s been a very tight market. Chelsea have 3 of the 7 most expensive transfers this summer (Chilwell, Werner and Havertz) and 2 of the other transfers don’t count because they were an accounting sham between Juventus and Barcelona (Arthur/Pjanic).

So I’m in a somewhat forgiving mood for moves made this summer.

Juninho confirming that Barcelona have a deal in place to sign Depay.

Also confirms that Lyon are still in negotiations to sell JRA to Hertha Berlin and says that the player has made his position untenable at the club.

Seems quite a few players and agents underestimated the depressed gridlock this window would become

And fans too. So all these fans talking about protests etc need to chill the fuck out. There’s an economic crisis and a bunch of these football clubs are far from being in the clear. With Europe surging again, and no crowds in sight, I really wouldn’t be surprised if we have financial contagion starting in a place like Spain

Guess I'm not working today. Just waiting for some good news.

Unbelievable, cannot fucking believe we are letting Gunnersaurus go.

Guys time to shut this thread.

Nothing will happen today, save yourselves time and stress.

I’m taking a short Arsenal sabbatical! See you for Man City away!

You would think you lot would paypal me something from time to time, for the amount of work I do around here, but no, I have to have a stupid job on top of this. I mean, I almost wished the Aouar deal into existence, from shit ITK to shit source to Fabrizio and others.

Ornstein:Arsenal’s bid to strengthen in central midfield looks set to end in disappointment. Their hopes of signing Lyon’s Houssem Aouar were dashed over the weekend and, barring a dramatic late twist, the long-term pursuit of Thomas Partey from Atletico Madrid will go the same way. Interest in Jorginho is unlikely to progress because Chelsea are reluctant to strengthen a rival, while there is currently no expectation of alternative targets arriving at the Emirates Stadium before tonight’s deadline. Arsenal are meanwhile attempting to shift players out of the club, with Lucas Torreira and Matteo Guendouzi heading out on loan and others potentially following.

full quote. no mention at all of incoming. long-term pursuit 😆 in the sense that we wanted him, but did nothing about it.

Ironically deadline day will end up being your quietest day steaky

You’re efforts don’t go unnoticed or unappreciated HomeSteak. I’ll arrange for Claudius to transfer you a handsome donation

Guendouzi medical for Hertha Berlin

Hopefully the first tweet of many!

I'm waiting with bated breath on the kola deal being confirmed. That's a great deal

I can't make sense of the Torreira deal at all. Why are we giving him away to Atletico for free basically when we desperately need midfielders? And it's not like he's a dud or a headcase like Guendouzi.

We still have 10 days to sign players from clubs in the EFL. Buendia would be good

Won't Guendouzi only have a year left when he comes back? Unlikely we will be able to sell him for more than £15m even if he performs really well on his loan.

Let's see how far we can go with Xhaka, Elneny, Ceballos, Willock as our midfielders this season.

I would also keep Torreira, he is capable of competing with all 4 of them for a spot in the team. London isn't that bad Lucas!

Agree, no point in loaning him if no midfielders are coming in.
