He's no Kane, eh?

You can’t compare the two.
Anyway Kane is a World Class striker.

Verrati's been class though; not much to work with but great decision making, couple dribbles and great turns to generate attacks.
Veratti lost his head like the rest of the idiots.

Running out of time to do anything really memorable with his career.

Biggest mistake he made was going to PSG.
He’s 29 and yet still so immature in his play.
Watching the intensity of the match, especially in the City players' performances and attitudes, made me pine for the days when Arsenal played with that kind of commitment. We're in our own semifinal, and regardless of the result, most of these guys just don't seem to have any fire in them at all. De Bruyne was tired and busted, but the way he played even after being 2-0 up was awe-inspiring.
I'd at least like to see us go down swinging. It's what makes limited players like Lacazette, kids like Saka, and lunatics like Tierney so likeable. They respond.
Pepe is growing in that regard at least, and I really hope that Partey steps out there like the player we know he can be and takes control.
I actually quit the game about 20 minutes in. A bit of a masochistic move, but I was a bit overwhelmed by the the fact that the two biggest financial doping clubs in the world were going at it to decide who would compete for the best team in football. I had just been looking at a chart earlier yesterday that showed that City owners invested more than 2x the next most generous owners over the last 2 years. That is an additional £500m that went into player purchases and salaries at a club that was already a Champions League fixture in this period, further entrenching their dominance. It’s so bent it’s unbelievable.
So when you see the UEFA head pretending to be a moral authority reining in errant clubs during the Super League fiasco, you can only shake your head. He profited from the bastardisation of the game to this point.
exactly Claud. This is why I don't really bother watching Citeh matches unless they're getting spanked at the time and I needed a laugh. Also why I'm never fussed about them winning anything.
Of course there's always the argument that this is the position the Mancs were in before, where they could just outspend everyone by a massive percentage more.
I never watched the Mancs either if I could help it.
At least the Mancs could just say they took advantage of the rising tide in the Premier League and Champions League and were, for a time, the best run club. There was no blatant disregard of rules and fairness. Just superiority. This stinks
The insane investments make the club's achievements seem much less impressive.
However what the players are doing on the pitch is still very impressive which is why I watch those teams.

Won the treble as a 23 year old scoring in every CL knockout tie and final. 2nd Brazil all time goalscoring behind just Pele who he'll overtake, might become most capped will be definitely at least 2nd behind Cafu, all at 28 with loads of injuries from some disgusting tackles. Won loads more than Ronaldo Ronaldinho etc but yeah he rolls around funnily when he gets hacked by opponents so he's overrated.

He peaked when he was 23.
What has he done in the last 5 years?
You can just tell if there was someone who was going to bail PSG out it was going to be Mbappe.

If he won the treble later instead it would be better?

Silly statement.
If Wenger won the title at Arsenal in 2018 instead of 2004, would you still been #wengerout?

Been consistently a top 3 player in the world. Football is a team sport, either you watch him and his team play or you don't but just end results don't make sense to assess what a player "has done"

His career wouldn't have been any better, he would've just moved the good part.
Your favorite Kane (not sure why you're against the comparison) never wins anything (oh, maybe that's why), is he not required to beat City and the other CL giants to prove his grit?
