What's sad is I'm much more willing to believe this than the ides that he's had medical complications. The detail certainly does help. The whole thing is depressing either way.
Bring him back into the fold please or we're doomed. Laca's doing admirably but there are clearly upcoming opponents where he'll be more suited
Yep, his absence is really starting to show. If we don't sign someone Arteta needs to put the team ahead of his ego and bring Auba back.
I've always liked auba, but I don't think bringing him back into the fold moves the needle. he was struggling for most of the season up until the latest falling out. feels like management have essentially closed the door on him as well.

That is not happening. If we can sell him now, we have to.
From today:
David Ornstein on Aubameyang: “Can they rebuild those bridges? I’m not sure. A lot of water has already gone underneath them and it’s a big question.”
It's moot anyway, you can't sell a player who don't want to be sold and I doubt Auba is going to go to a retirement league when he could have years left in Europe. Most likely scenario is that we'll have to loan him somewhere in the summer to get the wages off the books.
If Auba doesn't go in the winter we should definitely bring him back into the fold, even if it's as an option off the bench and keeping him involved. I suspect he does though and I reckon he'll be gone by the end of Jan.
What we definitely 'should' is sack Arteta asap and find a new manager who gives Auba a fair shake and finds a way to utilise his strengths. Have zero hope he can return under Arteta who's as vindictive as they come
How's your boy Ceballos doing?
Hiring a new manager to get the back out of someone who's going to be 34 soon is an interesting approach.
You think that's the main reason he wants a new manager? Interesting theory.

It is of course perfectly fine if you're homosexual but I don't see how you finding Auba's back interesting has to do with anything.

He's already had his first semi-retirement contract, it's not a jump to think he would take this opportunity if it's true. If he had any sporting ambition, greater than challenging for an FA Cup, he wouldn't have signed his last contract.

No idea if it's true but it sure didn't hurt Gabon to send their two biggest names away, the form they're in they're dark horses to win the whole tourney.
Would have been great if he was sent home and we actually used him. Really starting to feel his absence.
If we don’t buy a striker in Jan we have no choice but to bring Auba back. Hope he can keep his ill discipline to a minimum until then. Give him a curfew in Dubai.
Rookie manager.
This is why you don't totally alienate your (better) players.
Especially when you don't have many options.
Clearly you're not a genius. You aren't getting your teams to create chances or score or win convincingly without them.
I don't get it, was he scoring for fun prior to his enforced absence?
The issue is not Auba being unavailable. The issue is that we knew the CF problem going into January and we haven't pushed to get it sorted sooner.
If you rather have Bketiah than Auba coming on then good for you.
