You can't have it both ways. Luckily, there's no need to. We had the money, we spent it. The reason we didn't buy a striker or a midfielder has nothing to do with buying Benjamin White from the evidence we have. The rest is just hot air.

Oh right. I remember his chances created being good over that spell alright but his big chances created not being so good, it was very late era Ozilish. Either way this season he's not been on it creatively. Needs to be forced to push into the box more if he is going to be playing number 10.

Like Quincy says it's from his loan last season. The tweet is from August I think. I just think it's weird that we had him on a trial period where we saw what he contributes with, then we went on to sign him for a fair bit of money, and now we aren't playing him for more than 40-50 minutes per game even though we struggle in the exact areas where he proved to be useful.

We cut the supply line to the attack way too often. I think that's been the biggest argument for playing Partey in more of a box to box capacity. You have Maitland-Niles perhaps who can do a similar job too, but he's not playing; probably because this is not a desired quality at Arsenal.

We fall back too much, and it creates too much space between the lines when we tell Partey to sit and then pair him with players like Lokonga who can't press and have no presence. He's got a great longball on him but that's virtually his only weapon at this stage of his development.

I don't think there's any substantial relationship between White's fee and other signings. So I don't expect there to be evidence of any relationship in the public domain.

We definitely wont get much out of Odegaard as a 10 if we don't. He's still struggling with the physicality when he faces PL defences and if we aren't stretching them its way too easy to defend against him because you just get a couple of brutes to shoulder him off the ball. We need more movement around him so he can use clever passing, flicks, etc to good use. He was supposedly our number 1 target this summer, we waiting months to get him. he'd already been here on loan and yet it looks like we have no idea how to get the best of him.

Surely you realize that if the club bought White and then gave a statement that we didn't have more money fans would've interpreted that as us not signing a midfielder because we signed White instead even if the club didn't say that word for word. Would've been incredibly unfair from the club to White, which is what I've said three times now. At least I'm not the one who keeps throwing in insults in my posts.

Regarding Auba, I wouldn't mind trying Laca in his place. Yes he's feeding on scraps but he also doesn’t do anything with the few chances he does get.

I don't throw insults around frequently. I've been finding your posts exceptionally irritating and I've explained why, even though you appear unable to understand me.

Our movement is atrocious. I don't know what Arteta emphasises in training but if he's not trying to get them to make better runs even within a more rigid system then he really does have no business being here. Even when we do make little overlaps or underlaps you can tell it's an afterthought. That front 4 in particular, Odegaard included, need to always be on the move into progressive areas.

Regarding movement, Arteta seems to like his players to occupy spaces and not move out of their zones, except for the FBs.

That would be one thing, but there's other instances where the players can move within their zones just to offer up an option vs hiding behind defenders or just staying completely still. If anything being rigid elsewhere should free up players to move freely within their own areas.

On form alone Aubameyang could be dropped, regardless of concerns about our structure and his suitability within it.

At least with Lacazette there is a better presence and greater likelihood of bringing others into play around him. I'm not saying he's the answer, but he's different and it's maybe time to go with that. I'm not sure we'd be capable of capitalising on it, but Aubamyeng off the bench is also a scarier prospect than Lacazette when they're swapping places.

The thing is with Laca as the CF is the shape changes. He'll play in exactly the same spaces he's played in with Auba ahead of him. If you do that I think you absolutely have to start Martinelli because he's the only one who'll consistently try to run off the last man.

There is also the question of whats the plan for AFCON? If its to play Laca at CF then start trying that now while Auba is still here to come on if its not working. And if its Eddie or Balo then it should be done with them now too but neither of them can get any sort of consistent run out so I don't know what the plan is.
