Having 3 of Saka, Odegaard, ESR and Pépé behind him will just lead to goals. Playing him off Lacazette will not. How many goals is Aubameyang scoring off Lacazette assists? Lacazette who has had games this season he doesn’t take a single shot despite being fulcrum. That Lacazette purchase has been more costly than we care to admit.

They're pretty interchangeable too. Saka can play everywhere, Ødegaard can play CAM or to the right, ESR can play CAM or to the left, Pepe can play both sides. So no matter which one of these three players are hurt/needs to rest we can still field the other three, and Martinelli could get minutes both as Auba's backup and on the wings.

That's a good point. It hasn't been mentioned much but I'm really pleased with how well Smith-Rowe worked off the wing against Leeds.

I think thats harsh on Laca. He's been ok for us but ok isn't really good enough for our CF. He's basically Giroud level and everyone was way too harsh on Giroud as well. He needs to go this summer but if he does I think I'll look back fondly enough on Laca, he's an honest player who usually leaves it all on the pitch. Funny that summer Lukaku and Morata both moved on big money to the PL too and a lot of a the La Liga heads on here were absolutely furious we didn't get Morata. If anything we just be thankful their wish never came true.

They were all a fools gold.

For the sake of squad planning Laca should really go. It's awlful for squad planning having to old guys on the books.

Lukaku was actually very good for United in his first season, basically carried them. He's been excellent since he left them too, very underrated around here. Ornstein says City might sign him in the summer, that'd be interesting.

Hes improved massivly with conte, he was just really basic before.

He has. I was happy when United signed him and nothing he showed there told me that I shouldn't have been.

Great having him back... think the team dynamics has played a big factor.. We now have a midfield that can carry itself and does not need the striker to drop deep all the time and help... Laca served his purpose in that regard, held the ball up well and brought other into play as much as he could.. now we have 3 players behind the striker that are forward looking and comfortable playing under pressure, Auba can focus on what he does best and tear shitt up
