He's definitely better, but Elneny looks like a valuable squad option right now. We badly lacked cover for Xhaka last season. It'd be good for us if we found an internal solution.

We’ve seen enough of the build from the back goals to know it’s not a fluke. He’s drilling them in. Good to see us with more control. We were attacking from both flanks and through the centre a lot more. I thought we looked stronger down the right flank.

Small issues: On the left we weren’t connecting AMN and Aubameyang perfectly. And down the centre, we lacked running with the ball from El Neny and Xhaka. It helped when Willian dropped into centre midfield to help connect offense. We might be improve connectivity by replacing the LWB with a third midfielder (Ceballos) against weaker teams.

Partey - Xhaka - Aouar

Ceballos - Elneny - Willock

That'd be a good midfield with options.

Elneny is extremely dependable in possession. Just a super neat and tidy possession recycler. Such players will always be useful for us.

Arteta confirms after his recent performance Holding is not leaving us anymore. No chance

One thing I think he got wrong (if Saka was match ready). We should have expected the possession and control, and Saka has much higher offensive qualities.

Neny’svnot good enough to play for Arsenal even in training. I expect Art to raise the level enough so that dross like this doesn’t ever feature in the line up, no matter the occasion. He’s terrible.

Gabriel was ok, still not enough to be convinced he’s a game changer for us. Same for the othe Brazilian boy (thought we looked better when Pepe subbed him, it was 3:0 already, granted)..

Great win and clean sheet. Willian with three assists on his debut, last Arsenal player to do that was Mkhitaryan 😉 Lets hope he can keep consistent as I know for Chelsea he did sometimes blow hot and cold. Dodgy start from Gabriel but looked good otherwise, he will face much harder tests though but not bad considering his first game in over 6 months! Great skills by Holding, his hairline and skill set matching Bergkamp today!

We've got a good vibe flowing through the club right now, need to keep it going and especially against the smaller teams. Look compact but also be able to pick them off.
